Mini-guide to the meatshield Guardian v1.1
thegreatcthulhu:
Good job. I'm at the point where I don't know what makes a good "Tank" Guardian anymore, since the game isn't the same as it was so many years ago. So it's probably fitting that someone else has finally managed to cob together the necessary details as to what a "tank" for Global would look like.
Reading this stuff always annoys me, since I'm so used to the more versatile set-ups Guardians could use, and still be effective "tankers" in the prior versions of Hellgate.
Oh yeah, I'm glad to see that Stampede is seemingly more useful than it was considered initially. I guess it isn't as buggy as it was in the Korean version, or it at least does enough damage to offset the annoying targeting problems?
Bryan:
Thanks,I tried not to go into too much detail cause I might jump the shark.Guards are really not my field to begin with,so all I could do was get together all the ways in which they butchered the Guards' versatility.
On Stampede, well I don't know how buggy it was in the Korean version, but it's still a bit tricky. There's times it won't trigger, and some targeting issues here and there.
The thing is,Guards have an obsession with speed now,and since it can cover distance and help escape any nasty stun-lockers it has been kinda worshiped. :P
Identity:
hehe...
when my guard was little (50/xx), i ran natan with her, without stampede. call evos aid or just /stuck does the trick as well. it's not as comfortable, but stampede is more of a gimmick to me ;)
Bryan:
Added a link to Necro's latest guide on tanking Natan and Glutton.
Bryan:
Update: Added a subsection on leveling and stat allocation.Updated the Hell SP video and highlighted the awesomeness of Surgecasters through another one.
If anything seems to be in need of a revision or whatnot, please feel free to point it out :)
