That's great news Pete. I'm sure your warped sense of humor had a lot to do with your recovery, not to mention the fact that your brain is probably so full of mathematical and chemical knowledge that the cancer never had a chance -  you either bored and/or confused it into remission  ;).

Tell me, how many of your friends did the Arnold "Notatoomer" gag on you?

Thanks, guys.  Appreciate the comments.

tgc, in the last few years, I have encountered several people that I spent some time with in the treatment locations.  It is difficult to watch so many of them succumb to the battle.  A few years back, I was hit particularly hard when I was told about a particular individual who had passed.  Someone provided me with a quote that has stuck with me since then: "Say not in grief 'he is no more,' but live in thankfulness that he was."

Thumper, I never gave my friends the chance.  When I passed on the good news to each of them, I told them what I said to the doctor, so I preempted them.  Of course, two of them have, on occasion, peppered conversations with the phrase, "..it's all in your head."

Again, thanks guys.  Unfortunately, you will have to put up with me for a little while longer.  :P

Ok.
Got another portion just about wrapped up.
Shouldn't be more than 2 or 3 days before I post it.  Just depends on available time and how much it needs to be reworked before I put it up.

I'm just getting my 15 year old nephew into Hellgate London for the first time, as he hadn't even heard of it before lol, but always trusts his "gaming uncle" to set him straight on the "Classics".

I wanted him to have the lore down before he began playing so got him started with reading the Mel Odom books which he loves, and then remembered PeeterMcG's excellent stories here so he's reading these also before he fires up the game.

I was surprised to read about your health challenges Peeter and very happy to see things are going so well for you now, have to agree there's nothing like a good sense of humor to help get you through the tough times in this life.

So I'm still enjoying your newer chapters and that has me fired up to play HGL again myself :)

Looking forward to any new chapters as well, take care.
