Why dont you play???

Hello all.

We have 100 characters in our guild, and mostly 3 or 4 are online... Whats up with all the other guys??

I've noticed a slowdown over the past week, as well. I attribute some of it to time zones, but it's obvious some people are nowhere to be found.

I just got into the Path of Exile beta today, so my HGG play time will decrease a little...

Everyone is on alts is my theory. I have been on alts since week 2. I am sure people in LeitKnights are asking the same question. That guild is close to full and i rarely see more than four or five in there.

Thing will pick up a little in the Revival guild over time but it just depends on whether people decide to play their revival char and how much.

I was in tonight as bunnyhuntress for about an hour and there was one other person logged on.

For the record pistolero, i saw you just last night in parliament. I was like "oh i recognize that guy!"

Personally, I've been spending all my free time working on the wiki and website stuff. Once I'm done, you'll see me back on my main - Maeyan - constantly : D

I've been wondering that too. I've played on quite random times and usually there's only 0 to 4 other people online. In alt guild it's even worse - less than 10 members and the most I've seen on has been 3, me and my brother included.

Seems like most of the active players went back to their old HGL guilds and we got all the casual, every now and then players

I read in different forum, and hellgatelondon.de is THE german community site. What i read there is, that lots of people are realy upset about T3. Look here:

Well, speaking only for myself, I have been working on 3 seperate characters in an attempt to get them up to L40. I don't normally play for more 2-3 hours at a time and I am a slow player, ie., all side quests, snooping around maps etc..

Much like the old days, once people have buffed a few characters you will see more guild runs and such - right now there seems to be a wide disparity between charcter levels (some have one L50+ chars or more, others have a sprinkling of mid-levels).

The game (in it's current form for many of us on the fourms) is still young - lots of stuff to come yet! 5x5 Molly runs, running the Wilds, kicking the crap out of the new Abyss bosses, fighting with sporks - that sort of thing

On weekdays I only pop in to do the daily since I'm doing wiki work (somewhere between 8-9PM EST), and there are usually 4-5 members online. Otherwise, I've gotten to the point where I'll sit around for a while looking for parties and checking if anyone's doing boss runs.
I've been working on alts recently, though, just to give myself some variety when there aren't many parties or guild members online.

I agree that the wildly varying levels discourages party play, but that's just something we have to give time. Maybe it's more a matter of organization so we can plan on being online at the same time to form a party.

i wanted to play HGG and i did alot until Nehrim been found. 
think it will be long time u won't see me online with any of my chars

I'll also add that I've been fortunate enough to bump into other players (notably Zart) that have been following the same path in leveling several characters. It takes the discouragement edge off of seeing most parties consisting of L55R12 characters running Whathisname on Hell mode or others with descriptions of "goGOgofasthurryrushbequick" for the party name

As long as there is +1 skill point at lvl 40 i am gonna be bringing the last of my chars up to snuff. Dont know if the summ will get to 40 by the end of the month, guard is almost there. Once the leveling to 40 is done i will likely be back in guild (I belong to 3  ). The running of the bosses and high level content will begin as soon as my last char bonks astaroth.

If anyone in the level 40 ranges gets lonely and thinks you are the only person left playing the game, go ahead and add my alts to the list. If i am on and not engaged, ill hook up for cats heads molly edo gates or whatnot.

If you are gonna be starting a new alt, my Summoner (SunnyDisco) is level 10 and ready to start Piccadilly approach so lets quest.

It really is a shame that the game friends the toon but not the player. I bet the social networking would be a lot simpler and more rewarding if guilds could hold 100 players instead of 100 toons.

Im sorry all, i have been really busy with work, and stuff, so when ive come home lately ive just curled up with the new Song of Ice and Fire book, and went to bed lol. But i finished the book last night and here i am, so i hope that ill be able to get on more often as my work schedule balances itself out a little more lol. Monday was alfalfa day, tuesday grass hay day, and today was straw bales day lol. So ive been pretty wiped by the time ive gotten home lateley.

I'm kinda in the same boat as most others. I'm playing my alts for a little variety.  My main toon, who also is a part of Revival guild,  is lvl 36 in SH and I'm just farming heads so i can sell them or something (the idea of rolling multiple toons for cash is plausible but i also wanna lvl up my main as well).

I'll see some people online around same lvl as me and sometimes even doing SH runs as well.  I'll just take it upon myself to ask if anyone would like to party up to farm heads next time I'm on my main 

I usually just solo mostly.  I'm not too social in the first place and I've kinda gotten spoiled being able to talk to my cuz over xbox live while we play HG together.  But I'll man up next time and type if I have to.  I wanted multiplayer too much for this game to not actually play with other people!
