I’m a long-time fan of Hellgate: London, and I’ve recently gotten back into the game after years away. I’m running into a few issues and hoping this community can help out!
First, I’ve noticed some performance problems. My game stutters during combat, especially when there are a lot of enemies on-screen. I’m running the game on a modern system (Windows 11, 16GB RAM, RTX 3060), and I’ve already tried compatibility modes and lowering the settings, but the stuttering persists. Are there any known fixes or tweaks for modern hardware to make the game run smoother?
Second, I’ve forgotten a lot about the mechanics. I’m playing a Marksman and struggling with survivability. Do you have any recommendations for skill builds or weapons that work well for soloing? I remember the game being a bit grindy, but I want to focus on making steady progress without feeling too squishy.
Lastly, I’ve heard about some mods or patches that improve the Hellgate: London experience. Can anyone suggest some good mods or unofficial patches? I’d like to keep the core game intact but wouldn’t mind quality-of-life improvements or bug fixes.
