Are you able to implement any of the achievements?

Most of them should be possible.

Sadly, i dont have plans to release addon update anytime soon. Also i personaly dont care too much about achievements so they are not my number 1 priority. Spawn control system and other more gameplay related addons are coming first. Still it will take months before i will release any extra addons for Lost London V. Sorry if this is bad news, but im not actively modding Hellgate anymore. I have made Lost London over 4 years and from my perspective its complete.

If there were to be a single player version of 2.0 and/or HG:Global, would that entice you to make another update for Lost London?

Hell yes! That would give me so much new content and features to work on.

Is there a way to have both the Revival 1.2.1 and Lost London V installed?

For example, with some games, what I do is I copy the game install (Good Example is Starfleet Command 3 - Dominion Mod and I forgot the name of the other mod).  Would this work here by doing the following.

I copy the original install (1) to the second (2) Program files.

1.  Program Files\Flagship Studios\Hellgate London
2.  Program Files\Flagship Studios\Hellgate London - Copy

I install the revival mod into (1).  Then I rename the directory to something like Hellgate London - Revival

Then I rename the (2) or copy of the original install (meaning no revival mod applied).  Then I apply Lost London V.

Then depending on the mood I am in, I either run the directory with the Revival mod applied or Lost London, by making sure I rename that directory that contains that mod to what the original install was.

So I would have
Hellgate London - Revival
Hellgate London - Lost London V

If I want to play the Lost London V I would simply rename it to:
Hellgate London.

If I want to switch to Revival, I rename the current Hellgate London directory that has the Lost London V applied to it to:
Hellgate London - Lost London V
and rename the
Hellgate London - Revival
to
Hellgate London

Will this work?

Yes, just one install but as many renamed \Hellgate London folders as you want, each modded for whatever mod and then rename a modded folder to \Hellgate London to make it the active one.
You might want to keep multiple \Save\Singleplayer folders too so you keep the saves from getting all mixed up and causing unintended consequences.

Cool.  That will be great.  Ironically this is only the second game I have ever gone through it a second time, and I have games I haven't loaded other than to see if they work on Windows 7 or because the patch process launches the game.

Thanks for pointing out that issue about saved games, I never thought about that for other games that I have multiple copies installed to run different mods.  I will have to play some time through hellgate, since I don't remember how the saved game process worked, but if I can edit the name of the save file in game, then I would probably put some sort of tag in front or end of the save file name to let me know which saved game belongs to which mod.  Guess I will find out tonight as I will now get to install the mods.

Happy to report it works.  Just a few notes for those who also want to do this.

Make sure you know how the launcher works.  If you have already installed a mod, then the registry will have entries that will cause any further attempt to run "install.exe" trigger a virus warning, and if you are running Norton Int. Sec., it will delete the install.exe from the Hellgateaus launcher.

Put the London mod files in LostLondonV.  Copy the launcher from the install package to your Hellgate London 1.2 Single Player un-modded directory.

Your INI should look like (remember Dx9 versus dx10 - I don't know if that was fixed since the 1.2.1 revival mod was published).
[Hellgate]

[Launcher]
AutoBackup=1
MaxBackupAge=0
MaxBackupsPerChar=20
MaxSizeOfBackups=0
DirectXMode=1
Sound=1

[Installer]
ExpertMode=1
LastPackageDir=H:\LostLondonV\

I had to change expert mode to 1, change lastpackagedir to the location of the mod files, change directxmode to 1, and delete whatever was under the [Hellgate].

Then I followed the revival mod inst. of running the game, kill a few bad guys.  Then remember to go to the hellgate directory where you have copied the newlauncher.ini, pdf, ini and bass.dll.  Launch the newlauncher.  Verify in Options in the menu, then program settings, that you have the dx9 and expert mode checked.

Then follow the same instructions given for revival 1.2.1.  When you install the addon file, you can only pick one of each (# of monster for quests, speed of movement, and size).  Checking more than 1 will cause the program to report an error and will exit the installer.  I went ahead and checked the 200 monsters, retain original game speed, and larger maps (not the ancient only one).

So now I have two games to play through again (guess it is true that they say majority of games people own on Steam never get played or launched when great mods keep making you come back to older games - good job modders).

I was disappointed that PC Gamer did not talk about either of these mods in their "Reinstall" section of the latest issue.  I would have thought at least revival would get mention since it has been out for a while and was the first mod I played for HG:L.  I think if the game had included either of these mods when first released (meaning the modders content was what included in the original design), I think this game could have sold better.  However I think the thing that did hurt it was the "pay sub fee" to get new content as that usually turns people off when they see they have to buy the game then pay to get new content, back then in 2007, of course now, it is almost standard, but viewed as DLC, versus a monthly fee.

Just reinstalled Hellgate London after a very long break (years) and discovered this site.  Before I quit playing I remember messing around with hellgate Revival however at the time I didn't know of Lost London.  What is the main difference between the two?  Does lost london have more game content than revival 1.5?  When Looking at the download size of lost london v its almost 3mb however revival is little over 9mb.  Am I downloading the wrong thing or are both of those mods really that small?
