Revival: Community Chat on Skype

It has come to my attention that some of you do not know about it or do not remember it....either way the hellgate community has a skype chat for those that wish to talk to others(skype is much faster than the shoutbox) one thing that is asked is that if you do join the skype chat you do not just use it to see how revival is coming along(anything the devs wish to share with you will be said on the forums)

actually we have tried to promote the skype chat many times....just no one ever seems to want to talk to people...i can almost promise you most of the people that will join the skype chat are people from chat-1  :mrgreen:

i get nightmares only from thinking of talking to people.. especially those i know from the intrawebs. and even worse.. many ppl from the interweb in one room all talking to each other.

actually talking to people? not typing? nah mate thats some scary stuff right there... irc, msn and xfire - thats ok. skype? no way i get on a webcam

my wife spams her sister on skype sometimes for 4 hours +. i dunno how she can do it, cause both of them forget they are able to be seen by the other person. picking noses and the like lol.

wouldnt a vent server be better than skype though? we are on adsl2+ and still get lag on skype, video and sound quality can be dodgy. vent always works well, and teamspeak. stoopid telstra and their not upgrading us to fibre :/

No it is actually typing to people. Skype has chat capabilities to be certain. But we only use it as an instant message feature.

eh say what you will but alot of people from hgl use skype...i can name about 22 people(including me) that use skype from the old hgl days
