I like most genres, but I'm somewhat picky about artists within a genre.

Heh, I held off on getting an ipod for a long time.  When it got to a point where I was packing around hundreds of CD's(two 200 cd binders) in my backpack with a discman to play them, it was time to upgrade.  I still tend to listen to full albums while I'm out and about though.

As far as manson goes, I have all the albums, the older ones are mostly better than the post mechanical animals, but there are some good tracks on all of them.

cant argue about taste i guess.
anyway, i cant stand ipods for quite a few reasons. most importantly you are forced to use a certain connection software..
meh anyway, i can understand the need for more and more space on your mp3 player, but there are alternatives to apple hardware.

when i was looking for a decent mp3 player back then i ended up buying the cowon d2 8gb for the simple reason of audio quality. i know, 8gb internal flash is far from great but it also had an sdhc port.
the question is if you really need all your albums available all the time.
